the peri-operative period
At Precision ENT, we understand that the peri-operative period can feel overwhelming. The uncertainty and questions leading up to surgery can contribute to anxiety for both patients and their families.
We encourage you to contact our rooms at any time if you have questions or concerns. You are also welcome to speak directly with Dr Kumar or Darcie, his practice nurse.
For every surgical booking, we will guide you through detailed post-operative instructions. In addition to the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) information pamphlets provided during your consultation, we have developed our own information sheets to help support you in preparing for surgery and recovering afterwards.

Mr Kumar works closely with a dedicated practice nurse who supports patients throughout their entire care journey. She provides guidance both before and after surgery, with particular expertise in adult and paediatric post-operative care, ensuring children and their families feel supported and confident during recovery.
She is readily available to answer any questions or concerns and is also present for procedures performed in the rooms, offering continuity of care and reassurance at every stage.
