Mr Aneesh Kumar specialises in adult head and neck surgery, with expertise across a wide range of ear, nose and throat procedures.

Mr Kumar has extensive experience in adult ear, nose and throat surgery, with particular expertise in head and neck and thyroid surgery. His advanced training in Liverpool and Canada included complex head and neck cancer surgery, reconstruction and facial plastic surgery.

He spent 11 years in New Zealand, where he established the Head and Neck Cancer Surgery service at Palmerston North Hospital and founded the Thyroid Multidisciplinary Team.

His Adult ENT practice includes a broad range of procedures including:

  • FESS Sinus surgery

  • Thyroid and Neck surgery

  • Microlaryngoscopy

  • Ranula Cyst Drainage and Removal

Dr Kumar also performs biopsies in the consulting rooms and operating theatre, including microlaryngoscopy and biopsies of the ear, nose and throat.

Please Note: He does not perform specialised ear surgery, including surgery for cholesteatoma or surfer’s ear.
